Story

At Venuvanam Bamboo Nursery, we are passionate about promoting sustainable living and environmental conservation through bamboo cultivation. Established with a vision to harness the potential of bamboo, we aim to redefine landscaping and eco-friendly practices in Kanyakumari district.
Venuvanam bamboo nursery will be a new developing nursery, which will specialize in producing bamboo seedlings. This business will be a new opening for bamboo small business and creating awareness to locals, encouraging farmers in cultivation of bamboo.
The business plans to produce bamboos from both seeds and cuttings. Seed grown seedling chosen compared to tissue culture plants for reasons of genetic diversity, cost effectiveness or availability of certain species not easily propagated through tissue culture. The nursery plan to sell seedlings on both wholesale and retail to help elevate the sales and to market seedlings all over the India.
About the promotor

Shri. S. Ramakrishnan, Graduate in Horticulture from Horticultural College and Research Institute, Periyakulam. He started his profession as an exporter and later entered into the cultivation of orchids to learn the difficulties in farming and also as a business. He is doing many researches on controlling insects and pest through Plant extracts, Organic nutritional management like Panchkavya, Vedic farming like Agni Hotra etc.
Now he starting Venuvanam bamboo nursery to promote bamboo seedlings and believes in the power of bamboo to combat climate change, enhance biodiversity, and provide sustainable resources. By establishing a bamboo nursery and engaging in bamboo-related projects, we aim to create a greener, more sustainable future. Our projects have not only contributed to environmental conservation but also supported local communities by providing eco-friendly materials and promoting green practices. Our bamboo nursery stands as a testament to our dedication, nurturing thousands of seedlings that will grow into resilient bamboo forests.
